Mildews, Rusts and Moulds belong to different taxonomic groups of fungi but all are commonly seen on plants, especially the leaves. Mildews and Rusts often parasitise and depend on the plant for survival. In contrast, Sooty Moulds usually develop on the sugary honeydew deposited on leaves by insects such as aphids, whiteflies, mealybugs or scale insects
